This project demonstrates the value of designing a system that blends new machinery with what a customer already has in place. By engineering a bi-directional conveyor into the line, material can be automatically routed to either the newly installed PAC 4029-830 horizontal baler or the facility’s existing baling unit.
This gives the customer instant redundancy, faster throughput, and improved load balancing across their entire operation.
A Custom Build, Designed to Integrate with Existing Equipment
The 100 HP Dual Shaft Shredder serves as the heart of the system, providing the high torque, rugged construction, and continuous-duty capability required to process high volumes of dense industrial material. Its integration with the new 48” infeed conveyor ensures smooth material flow, reduced manual handling, and consistent sizing before entering the downstream baling process.
These upgrades not only streamline production but also support the customer’s long-term sustainability goals by helping them consolidate waste, reduce landfill volume, and create uniform, high-quality bales.
Installed, Tested & Ready for Long-Term Performance
Our experienced team handled everything from the planning and design, to all mechanical assembly, hydraulic setup, electrical integration, and commissioning. The system was fully tested, calibrated, and reviewed with the customer’s operators.
The built-in control platform (pictured above) ties the entire line together, allowing operators to monitor shredder load, conveyor flow, baler readiness, and overall system performance from a single interface.
This project reinforces what REI is known for: designing complete, ready-to-run systems that dramatically improve efficiency and support years of reliable operation.
